Welcome to Obele Women Empowerment Foundation - OWEF
Empowering and Celebrating young women Across Africa.
Our Story
Obele Women Empowerment Foundation (OWEF) is a forward-thinking nonprofit organization committed to equipping women and young girls with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to thrive in today’s evolving world.
Founded on March 25, 2025, OWEF was established with a clear purpose: not only to inspire women, but to equip them with practical tools, access to opportunities, and the confidence needed to unlock their full potential.
The foundation was born from the recognition that while talent, ambition, and innovation exist abundantly among women, access to opportunities, networks, and support systems often remains limited. OWEF exists to bridge this gap by creating platforms that empower women through education, advocacy, mentorship, and community engagement.
Beyond empowerment, OWEF is committed to building a strong network of women, professionals, and partners who believe in advancing the voices, safety, economic freedom, and societal contributions of women and girls. Through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and strategic partnerships, the foundation continues to cultivate an ecosystem where women can grow, lead, and contribute meaningfully to society.
Our Mission
The mission of OWEF is to educate, enlighten, empower, support, and celebrate women and young girls as they pursue their full potential.
The foundation leverages platforms such as social media, podcasts, documentaries, seminars, conferences, webinars, and workshops to provide knowledge, inspiration, and practical guidance that supports women’s personal and professional growth.
OWEF also utilizes statistical insights, historical data, and current social trends to advocate for women and girls, working actively to close gender-based gaps and promote equitable opportunities in society.
